May Fayre, Monkton Farleigh Breakfast and Christian Aid Lunch

May has been a busy month for our congregations, so here's a quick round up of what we've been up to in our communities.

May Fayre
On Mon. 6th May, the Christ Church School & Church May Fayre was blessed with brilliant sunshine, resulting a great attendance. The church ran the bookstall and cake stall, and helped run the plant stall. Result - the cake stall sold out, the plants did well and the book stall attracted its fair share of customers. Also The Ark ran a children's play corner which was much enjoyed. (Ann Chapman)

Monkton Farleigh Village Breakfast
On Sunday 12th May, about 60 people met for breakfast in Monkton Farleigh Village Hall, where the choice of a cooked breakfast or continental style was enjoyed by both children and adults.  This event was held to raise funds for a new After-School Club which will be run by members of St. Peter's Church. Christian Aid Lunch
On Sat. 18th May, the Lambert Centre was once again the venue for the Bradford-on-Avon Churches Together Christian Lunch. The usual wide variety of quiches, flans, salads and cookies of excellent quality was provided by Christ Church members and enjoyed by those who came. Although numbers were down somewhat (due to holidays, regular attenders having moved away, competing events in the town), we still managed to raise a worthwhile amount to pass on to Christian Aid. Why not come along next year and try the food and conversation yourselves? (Ann Chapman)
