The Benefice of North Bradford-on-Avon was created in May 2010 and consists of the parishes of Christ Church (Bradford-on-Avon), St James (South Wraxall), St Nicholas (Winsley) and St Peter (Monkton Farleigh).
St James Church at South Wraxall have held their Afternoon Teas again during the summer. These have been lovely occasions to chat with old friends and enjoy a wide range of goodies from sandwiches and quiche and salad to the wonderful cake selection, which this year also included a gluten free option.
Lovely to see you
Each time there are regulars and those who only come once. It was very satisfying that the final Tea for this year (on Thursday 3rd August) saw the biggest attendance, with people sitting in the pews as well as at the tables. As well as friends from Bradford-on-Avon, Bathford and Winsley, etc., there were passers-by out for a drive or a walk, and villagers who dropped in to catch up on the latest gossip.
The 'staff' hard at work
The final tea raised £350, with over £1,000 raised in total for church funds. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
